I received this touching card posted the 18th of October 2006 from San Francisco CA from a giving person. Inside the card held a donation. Thank You for your anonymous act of kindness!

Greetings:

Our family and Friends participated in the Walk for ALS in honor of one of our family members, Richard "Rick" Feeney. Our team raised $1,116.00 for The ALS Association, Northern New England Chapter. A big Thank You to everyone for your donations & support! 2006 the Northern New England Chapter Walks raised over $89,000 proving to be a very successful Walk season. This year our goal is to raise $200,000 for continued programs and services on a local and national level.

Rick was diagnosed with this devastating disease in November 2005. Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), is often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's disease." We have seen the devastating effects this horrible disease can do to both the person with the disease and their family. We encourage anyone to donate to our fund and help raise awareness of this devastating disease and support those living with ALS and their families in our community.

Most people with ALS lose the use of their legs in the first two years of the disease. What would you do, while you still could?

Last years walk was a special day bringing us all together to show Rick our love & support. Please join us together again this year and honor Rick and support those living with AlS and their families. Please join us on 09/15/07 at the Back Cove, Portland,ME.
